MERCY & JUSTICE PARTNERSHIPS

Salem wants to be a part of acting justly and loving mercy in Winston-Salem. We strategically partner with few organizations that we hope to fund and support intensively. 

Mercy Fund: We aspire to help our congregation with tangible financial needs, such as counseling support, mission work, or emergent situations. Contact our Servant Leaders for more information. If you are not a part of our congregation, please come get to know us and visit the partner organizations below.

Adoption/Foster Care Fund: Salem maintains a separate fund, built over time, to assist with children who have gone through foster care or adoption. The fund can be used toward initial expenses of adoption or any care during the child's life related to adoption/foster care. It is managed by Lifesong for Orphans; contact our Servant Leaders for more information or an application.

Crisis Control Ministry: Crisis Control offers targeted short-term emergency assistance to solve a personal crisis. They believe it is important to treat families with respect and compassion. They offer financial counseling, an excellent food pantry resembling a grocery, an extensive pharmacy, as well as personal development classes.

Crossnore Communities for Children: Crossnore Communities for Children creates healthy futures for children and families by providing a Christian sanctuary of hope and healing. Crossnore provides therapy services, in-home family crisis intervention, foster care and adoption classes, on-campus living for children in the foster care system, and support for youth who are or have been in the foster care system.

Love Out Loud: Love Out Loud represents an ever-expanding network of non-profits, businesses, faith-groups, and individuals living out Jesus’ call to love our neighbors by partnering with other local community organizations for the flourishing of our city. In these partnerships, Love Out Loud works to increase collaboration and connect individuals to local opportunities to engage with their areas of passion.

The Pregnancy Network: The Pregnancy Network is a Christian, multi-denominational organization seeking to serve women who need help facing their unplanned pregnancies without fear. They support individuals before, during, and after an unplanned pregnancy by providing medical services, education, resources, and mentoring. 

Samaritan Medical Clinic Samaritan Clinic is a Christian non-profit organization that has been providing free medical and dental care to uninsured residents of the Winston-Salem, N.C. area since 1986. Patients are currently being seen at two different locations: The Rescue Mission and Southside Baptist.

World Relief World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to empower the local church to serve the most vulnerable. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for over 75 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to develop sustainable, locally-driven solutions to some of our world’s greatest problems.
